For Me, 2013 actually began December 2012 as
Santa delivered amazing early Christmas gifts. My family and I were able to share in the excitement as we watched Olivia
Culpo, Miss USA, crowned Miss Universe, also allowing our dear friend, Nana Meriwether to succeed her as Miss USA.... We also
met Celebrity Chef Gordon Ramsay prior to the opening of his Burger restaurant at Planet Hollywood Las Vegas. He
even made us lunch on the house!
I
was honored to serve an official Miss Nevada-USA judge! Thanks Shanna Moakler, Maureen Atwell & friends! Later in the
year I was reunited with skating pals Tai Babilonia, Randy Gardner, Dorothy Hamill & Kurt Browning at Stars On Ice!...
And made new friends at the revival of my favorite musical, "Jekyll & Hyde."
On Valentine's Day, we attended a amazing concert by original "Jekyll & Hyde" star, the incomparable Linda Eder...and
the Spring brought an amazing concert by "Broadway's Original Belle" ("Disney's Beauty & The Beast"), Miss Susan Egan.
We attended the Crowned One California Pageants, Miss California USA & Teen USA as well Miss USA 2013!

We also cheered the great
news that Yorba Linda's own, Jordan Krinke was named 3rd Runner-Up at Miss California (MAO) and later won Miss National Sweetheart
2013! I "judged" a mock interview with Jordan years ago. She's incredible. She's has big things ahead, I'm sure!
The saddest day of 2013 was when I lost my dear childhood friend of 40 years, Marianne Lyons .... I still miss her
every day!!!!!!!!!!!!!
